Donations

Each year we are asked about financial donations, many times by those who may not be able or available to participate. Tax deductible donations are accepted and appreciated. If you are interested in donations, you can do so by downloading the entry form and simply include a note indicating the amount included is a donation. If you would like to make a donation online, you may do so by visiting Active.com.

Interested in Sponsoring?

Organizers and volunteers of the Shawn Silvera Memorial Run work to keep costs at a minimum so that the maximum contributions can be made to the selected charities.  We welcome donations from individuals or businesses.  In addition to materials needed for the run itself, donations to the silent auction or raffle aid in offsetting hard costs.  Examples of past donations include:

Run:

• Awards for top finishers
• Beverages (water, sports drinks, coffee)
• Food (granola and power bars, fruit, bagels and doughnuts)
• Items for goodie bags (for kids and adults)

Silent Auction, Raffle and Misc:

• Activities (Golf, etc)
• Bouncy House (activity for kids)
• Fitness classes and apparel
• Hotel and/or cabin stays
• Photography Sessions
• Restaurant/Dining Certificates
• Sporting event tickets and memorabilia
• Theatre/Concert tickets
• Waterpark passes

Cash donations are always welcomed.

We need volunteers

The Shawn Silvera Memorial Run is dependent on the tremendous work of volunteers to make it a success.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us, indicate your area of interest, and we will include you in volunteer communications/sign-up.  Some of the volunteer opportunities include:

Pre-race:

• Errands (Picking up materials/donations)
• Solicitations

Race Day:

• Set up
• Registration & t-shirts
• Race Course
• Finish Line/Timers
• Children's activity area
• Silent Auction/raffle
• Food
• Clean up
