The net proceeds of this event will benefit six charities. Great care was taken in selecting these organizations representing Shawn’s life in the areas of: faith, family, career, the arts, and global interests.

MN Cops

Concerns of Police survivors provides resources to survivors of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. We are grateful to Minnesota COPS for being the event sponsor and to MN COPS Chapter President Paul Gertsen for his generous support.

MN Law Enforcement Explorer Association

The Law Enforcement Explorer program provides experiential learning opportunities for young men and women who are interested in a law enforcement career.

Marriage Encounter

Worldwide Marriage Encounter offers a weekend experience designed to give married couples healthy communication techniques that can heal and enhance their relationships.

Catholic Charities

Catholic Charities is one of the Twin Cities' largest private providers of social services, working to strengthen families, reduce poverty, and build communities in the Minneapolis and St. Paul metropolitan area aiding tens of thousands of people annually, regardless of faith.

Free Arts For Abused Children Minnesota

Free Arts for Abused Children Minnesota is dedicated to bringing the healing powers of artistic expression into the lives of abused, neglected and at-risk children and their families. Through dance, drama, writing, music, painting, sculpting, photography and other avenues of creativity, they work to increase children’s self-esteem and build character.

Honduras Water Project

Many residents of the remote mountain villages in Honduras do not have clean, running water. While serving in the Peace Corps, Jennifer and Shawn became involved in building a water system with these residents. The project’s director was unable to attend tonight as he is stationed in Honduras.
